Today I went into work and I can’t believe how crazy it was again. I don’t mind being on the phones because it is part of my job however I don’t like when other people think that we can get work done. I am so behind in my phone work. I explain to the person I guess I will just answer calls and if the work don’t get done it don’t get done. It is just so funny how they want to cut cost on things but they want us to make copies of the letters what we send to patients with the patient’s letters. Keep in mind that we save it on the network so anyone can view them at anytime. I think it’s just that person have to “grade” me every month so she don’t feel like looking for the letter. I mean how are really to look for a letter on the network if we put them in ABC order. That person always seem lazy to me and she always need help on her excel files. Then I have another coworker who gets made because I follow up on the accounts I gave to her. If you remember that I got told that I didn’t follow up on the accounts even thou I feel like it’s not my fault. So her turnaround time is four weeks so I emailed her last week when for weeks are up. She told me last week that she will update the account. So I follow up again today and nothing was done. So what I did I email her again, she got upset because I have been emailing her too much. I just don’t seem to care about anyone else at work. I think I do too much for so little time and pay no less. Any I am going to relax it’s hot tonight so this is Matt in the hat and I am out of here.

Once again work was crazy. I am getting sick of the crazy days I feel like I would never get my work done. People calling back and want to know why things are not being done. Well if we are not short staff I am sure work can get done. Here is my story of the day about work. The last call I took today the patient has an insurance that we don’t have agreement with. So happen that insurance is two parts. One part we do and the other we don’t. So the patient telling me that we have to take the one that we don’t have an agreement with. I explain that He will be out of network. He told me he understood that but we have to take it since we took the other part. Then he got mad at me because I told him no we are not allow to do any adjustments since he went out of network. He told me that we have to by law. I explain to him that it’s the patient’s choice that they can see and if they want to go out of network that’s up to them. Anyway that’s my story about work. I am just so beat the last few days I am shocked I can blog. So this is Matt in the hat and I am out of here.

Today at work it was so crazy. We had a few people off and we could tell. I felt like I have been talking all day. It has been so busy I didn’t note a lot of accounts. I had some good calls but most of my calls weren’t that lucky. One patient had me on phone for an hour. She wants to know why her credit was marked for charges in 2008. She paid us in this year and the credit was marked this year. She paid us the same month that her credit was marked. She tried to blame us for everything. She really didn’t get to me but just the time I was on the phone. Then another lady I felt sorry for her but it really not my problem that her insurance company closed and she have to pay us over $6,000. She told me that we need to write it off because the issue. How can it be our problem if your insurance company closed? If you know please let me know. I would listen to you. Anyway I am going to get going and watch some TV so this is Matt in the hat and I am out of here.

What a day at work. I had two calls that gave me the biggest headache. Some patients think they are the only one. The one patient told me that his doctor want us to remove another doctor charge. I explain to him like what we did many other times that we can’t do that. It’s like you tell someone to remove money from someone’s account that you have no right to remove it. He just didn’t want to listen. I was lucky that my boss took the call. I just need to follow up the account be sure work will be done. Also the other call the lady think we should just write off the balance. It’s our fault because we don’t take her insurance and she was seen by our doctors. I just learn no matter what you can’t please everyone. Anyway I am so tried and I am going to end this so this is Matt in the hat and I am out of here.

The patient pays into insurance so they will listen to them. We send them a bill because of their insurance but they think we are wrong. They think we are billing just because we want to. I need a call sometime soon that I can put the patient in place with insurance. Anyway I am beat so I am going to bed so this is Matt in the hat and I am out of here.

Today was an ok day at work. I got an email from my boss explain it’s my fault that I didn’t follow up. I reviewed the account and found out that I am really not to blame. Here is the story and you can take it how you want to. The patient wrote in about a visit that he had. I had to get it review by the coding department. So I wrote it up and gave it to them back in January. I sent the patient a letter to explain it’s in review. Then in February I got an email from a coworker want to know the status so I didn’t see any notes on the account so I emailed the person who I forward the information to. She wrote back and explains it’s still being review. Then last week the patient didn’t hear back from us so his wife came in and want an answer. So since the person didn’t make a note on the account. My boss saw the patient and want to know the status on the account. I explain what I received from the person who I forward it to. So she went to our coding department and found out what is going on. It so happen that the coding departments send the coworker who I wrote it up to an email back in March about the account. So, why this wasn’t told to the patent? I have no clue I am not her. It so happen that my boss blame me that I didn’t follow up. So I explain that why do I have follow up all the accounts. She told me that she didn’t mean that but how do I know what to follow up and not? I think she want to have a meeting with myself and her boss about this issue. I feel like I didn’t do nothing wrong but they sure feel like it’s my fault. Anyway I am going to get off of here so this is Matt in the hat and I am out of here.

I went back to work today from a few days off. I am already approved to be off for all this week. I am taking off Friday. I just can’t stand some people who I work with. I am a team captain for two people. It so happen that I fix an issue on an account for this person and I asked her to finish what else have to be done on the account. Next thing I know that I get an email from our supervisor to question why I did what I did. I am going by what the insurance company is telling me what they would do if we billed them. I guess they want us to do more work and won’t get paid no matter what. I can’t win with this person on my team. She doesn’t like doing any work and anytime I bring it up to higher ups they don’t seem like they want to do anything. All I know that I won’t help her ask much she would like to be help. I am so done with her. She will see that I am not so fast to go over there to help her with her issues. I hope I don’t sound too mean but I am done. How many times do I have to say that I am done? Well I need to get to bed it’s getting late so this is Matt in the hat and I am out of here.
