Day 089 – What don’t you understand to wait?
I feel like all what I do on my blog is talk about work. I guess that’s what I get when I work almost every day. I feel like I live at work then at home. Today my supervisor came to me on an account and she wanted to know if why it took me so long to review. From the notes on the account we are still reviewing it but the patient just wrote a note to admin. Some people just don’t know how to wait. I just want to ring that patient. A lot of the patients I talk to on the phone want an answer NOW. Most of the time we have to review the charge and find out more information, they think they are the only ones. The group I work for see about 40,000 patients a month and its only 15 of us what we do. So you do the math and think of all the bills that can be not paid in full by insurance company. On top of that we have to know all insurance companies not just one like some other people do. I think patients think that if they write a letter to admin things will happen faster. In a way we do treat it as an urgent request but sometimes it’s very pointless to do that. Even thou patients will get all upset over little things and you tell them they have to pay they don’t want to hear it. Anyway I don’t want to go on and on about work. So I think I am going to play a game or something so this is Matt in the hat and I am out of here.
